Foo Guard and Semgrep

Semgrep prices Code, Supply Chain, and Secrets per contributor. Foo Guard prices a configuration review per subscription or per user, and does not sell that SAST, SCA, or secrets coverage.

Semgrep prices application security products

The Semgrep pricing page, checked on 2026-10-07, describes an AppSec platform with Code for static analysis, Supply Chain for dependency analysis, and Secrets detection. Team prices are listed per contributor per month. The page's contributor note, and the usage and billing documentation, say a contributor is someone who made at least one commit to a scanned private repository in a rolling 90-day period.

Foo Guard does not sell that coverage. A Foo Guard scan scores declared capabilities in a JSON or YAML agent configuration: tools, permissions, credentials, and whether a person must approve a change. It does not scan application source in the languages on Semgrep's pricing table, and it does not publish a dependency reachability or historical secrets product. Semgrep's pricing page does not describe a score for a submitted agent configuration file. The two reviews can sit next to each other. One result does not replace the other.

The billing units are not the same

Semgrep Team Code is listed at $30 per contributor per month, and Team Supply Chain is listed at the same unit as a separate product. The pricing page does not publish a bundle that adds those amounts. Secrets is listed at $15 per contributor per month, and the upgrade documentation says Secrets licenses and the Enterprise plan are purchased through Semgrep Sales. Credit-card Team billing is monthly. No annual Team list price is published on those pages. Enterprise is labeled custom and volume pricing, with no dollar amount.

Foo Guard's public pricing page shows a free analyzer, Pro at $19 per month for one subscription, and Team at $19 per user per month with a 3-user minimum. Those figures are the prices in the price list below. A Semgrep contributor is not a Foo Guard user, so this page does not multiply the two prices or describe one as a discount on the other.

The free Semgrep tier is separate from the paid products: Code and Supply Chain at $0 per month per contributor, up to 10 contributors and 10 private repositories. The pricing page lists 60 AI credits for that free plan. Team and Enterprise credit allowances use Semgrep's own per-developer wording, which this page does not treat as the same count as a billed contributor.
